Planik Camp, Razanac, Croatia

A quite large campsite in a pine forest just 10 minutes walk from the sea in Razanac and a 20 minute drive to Zadar. It’s difficult to find a level spot between the pine-needle covered rocky ground. But overall the site is good value for money. The toilets are clean, there are taps and electricity points all over. During the season there is a simple bar/restaurant. The staff are pleasant and very helpful, particularly Maria, the receptionist. The Manager, Andreas, was very kind when he brought a satellite system from home so that I could watch the Belgian Grand Prix. The system in camp had been destroyed by a thunderstorm the previous day.

Bor Autocamp, Krk, Croatia

A very pleasant and well run campsite. It has everything that one needs in a camp except shade. There’s a pool and a bar and a shop. It’s a bit of a trek into town (said to be 10 minutes) and more of a trudge up the hill on the way back. Sadly the starting price for internet is €2.00 and then you have to sit on a bench outside reception to use it. Another annoying feature is that the electricity hookup is in a locked cupboard. So when we left we had to go to reception and ask them to open the cupboard to get our cable back.

Beach near Premantura, Croatia NS

An open area next to a coastal inlet with shade trees. Next to a quiet road. Although it is not permitted to camp outside of prescribed areas, there were 8 motorhomes here. No facilities but a pleasant spot with an official campsite the other side of the inlet.
